i mentioned kijiji in my detailed e-mail yet they only responded telling me to look on kijiji and that prices are high, as though they expect us to have no perception of reality. sounded like a form letter. made me feel hopeless. this organization gets funding?! seriously, can we put a stop to this and maybe... use it to help people in a real way? btw, before i was forced to flee my terrible social housing apartment (shocking), i went to their location trying to seek help. while explaining my situation, i was told not to 'get upset,' as though i was being a nuisance by having a hard time in life. i was absolutely not doing anything aside from talking normally! hey, if you are getting paid or even volunteering to "help" vulnerable people: at least pretend to care? it really doesn't take much effort at all, and can truly make someone feel so much better. this incident took place over 6 years ago & i still regret not walking out after being treated that way.

Utterly pointless organization. It's only function is to point you to Kijiji or some lesser known sites for co-ops and the like or provide information you can easily find on your own. Waste of time and whatever money is funneled to them which is probably government provided

Very Friendly,patient, knowledgeable and easy to reach without prolonged waitings .Generous with advice and really want to help.
I was loosing my subsidy and back in rent and was in full panic ,when I called them they where very helpfull. Matter called for was resolved shortly after following their advice.

I was told by 2 different places to contact Ottawa Housing Help to deal with an unsafe housing environment and finding a new place. The person that returned my call said there was nothing I could do but call the police and look on Kijiji. This was the most unhelpful service I could've expected. This person clearly couldn't care less about me and I don't understand why she refused to help me at all.

No help whatsoever, for me. I am on low income, here comes January 2022 I will have to pay $ 1153/ monthly.
Letter from registry - i can reapply for subsidy 2 years later Jan 2024. Ontario work won't cover my rent - as I would only receives less then $ 800 / month.
Many people will be living on the streets, in the next couple of years. Ottawa will be for the millionaires / billionaires very soon. Good luck to the younger generations to come.

A Gay person named "Peter" need it Help to deal with his Rental cause of Fire despite his financial situation there is so much they can do but did provide him with the Best advice he could receive base on the policy of the "Tenant landlord board of Ontario" and since he need it help to displace himself housing Help did provide him with some fare "Bus Ticket". The office is a bit small "need it some fresh Revamp use of disquette vs. USB - we are 2017" - Private space Need it for cl. while searching for apart. by using the phone directed to them to close to the Entrance & more Eco Need it in the community BTW French & English are well spoken vs. Action logement since the clientèle keep changing with different problematic and downtown is growing fast . My first impression was base on what i saw while waiting in the waiting room watch cl. using the phone to search for apart. and ask question while been with peter as a hand Support until the housing case worker saw him in Person. Merci au plaisir.

I don't know my landlord is trying to evict me right now and and I don't think they know what to do... I went to housing help and talk to some girl named Ashleyand she told me to wait and see what happens in well I seen what happened and my landlord's went into my mailbox and took the first notice that was for a call in at the landlord tenant board
