Handy Bros. just installed a tankless water heater and from sales through install they were polite, professional and hard-working. We compared pricing and debated between renting or buying and always came back to Handy Bros pricing for a superior product and their monthly finance amount was less than renting with Reliance
Just wanted to add an update.to my review. We were also in need of replacing our furnace and again chose Hamdy Bros after.price.shopping. The install team worked hard.and got the job down with almost.no disruption in our gas service on a very.cold day. Their pricing again was competitive enough for us to choose buying over renting and it's nice knowing we have a brand new furnace/ac unit with a 10 year warranty.

Called Handy Bros. Company, my furnace humidifier wouldn't stop draining water. They fit me in their busy schedule the next morning. The technician Matt was very friendly and professional. He explained step by step everything that he was going to do in great detail! He took pictures and emailed them to me so I could have them on file. He did a fantastic job. All the staff at Handy Bros. We're very friendly and went above and beyond. Definitely would recommend them. I'm very happy with their service!

This service call was so bad it was practically surreal.

Technician showed zero interest in solving the issue (pilot light does not say lit, textbook thermocouple or value issue) and instead fixated on the burner short cycling. Despite being repeatedly told that is how this furnace has operated for over 50 years he continued to attempt to troubleshoot this issue, ignoring the reason for the service call. We tried to repeatedly redirect him back to the pilot issue however he seemed fixated on the burner cycling. When asked point blank why he is looking at the burner cycling, he started an explanation then trailed off and stopped talking when he seemed to realize he dug himself into a hole. He requested to see cold air returns. Taking him to the returns, he pointed to a hot air register and identified it as a return. At that point, I decided to cut losses and let him finish whatever he was doing. He requested to see the filter but again I tried to tell him that the problem is NOT the burner cycling but the fact the PILOT LIGHT GOES OUT. The filter is not very accessible so told him we would have to move stuff for him to see it. We repeatedly told him that we were fine with replacing the thermocouple, pilot burner or valve. He continued to diagnose, went to the van to add notes, then came back inside 10+ minute later for another lecture on furnace filters. We were told that we should change the furnace filter to assure longevity in a furnace that has been operating in this manner for 50 years.

The end result was 3 emails and 2 texts from Handy Bros containing a useless "home comfort report" (did I ask for a statement on the relative humidity of the home? No) and NO REPAIRS MADE.

I checked the thermocouple afterwards and it hadn't even been cleaned. The same pile of encrusted junk that was on it before the visit was still present.

This entire appointment was nothing but a waste of multiple hours of time, and of course over $200 in "service" fees for no service provided.
