I had the most outstanding rental experience working the Avis team! From beginning to end, and it was quite a ride.

I first contacted them over the phone, as I wanted to check the prices prior to visiting the store. JR, whom I had seen mentioned in plenty reviews, truly provided me great customer service and shared with me the rates and all the necessary information about renting it. When I was at the store, which was immaculately clean, I was able to meet with him and he was even kinder. He truly is concerned about the experience of his guests, alongside his wife, Maria, who works by his side. He was able to offer an amazing deal, on a brand new, electric vehicle, which I had never driven before. Also, he is the proud father of a UCF alumni, and it was wonderful to engage in that conversation and see how the Orlando community comes together.

The vehicle was, again, brand new, super clean (inside and out), navigated smoothly and super safe. As it was my first time driving electric, I did run out of battery as I was about to charge it (less than 0.2 mile away from the charging station). Nevertheless, when I called for assistance, they sent a tow car within 30 minutes, and stayed with me on the phone for as long as I felt safe. A stressful time with was handled respectfully and smoothly.

Lastly, I would highly recommend adding the “unlimited toll” feature to your rental. It is only $12.99 a day, if not mistaken, and saves a lot of time and money - particularly for someone like myself, who drove to Miami and back on the Florida Turnpike.

Honestly, 10 out of 10 experience. Will certainly be returning to this store and recommending Avis worldwide. Thank you JR and Maria! I’ll see you soon!

Ordered a Tesla as knew there was a massive Tesla supercharger point over the road. Got given a mustang which was a lovely car but my God is it difficult to find a charger point! There is one at the Circle K which takes about 1.5hours for a full charge but this was so new it didn't come up on Google so we ended up wasting more or less a whole day driving around trying different points. Most didn't fit or we had to get an app which wouldn't download to our UK phones. At one point we found one that fit and left it for 2 hours only to find it had charged 3%. Honestly it was such a perfect storm and it would have been avoided if we had actually been given the car we had ordered. It meant we had to pay a late fee and waste a whole day just to get it charged. Secondly I've just been told they'll be charging me more This is more than a month after I rented the vehicle and they've said they charged me too little for the unlimited tolls. I am glad we went with Avis however as even though there were some extra fees these weren't extortionate and obviously we understand the late fee is justified. I've read some horror stories about other companies and I do trust Avis not to make up that I damaged the vehicle or left it in a state etc.

overall, we were satisfied with our experience. we had a major glitch on our way back to return the car. Unexpectedly the rear tire blew out in the highway in an unknown area to us. Neither AAA or Avis responded in a timely fashion. We sat on an exit ramp for over 3 hours. Our daughter suggested asking for a replacement car. I would have thought Avis might have suggested that as our first option. After much searching by us, we located an Avis location 5 miles away. We had the car towed there expecting that we would have to Uber (paid for by us) to the Tampa airport. However, Erin at the Brandon location was able to provide us with a car. She was, by far, the most helpful person. Because of her, we would use Avis again.
No one expects to have these issues and it was a learning experience. I wish that someone would have taken the time to tell us what to do in an emergency situation or perhaps a card that says steps to take if (fill in the blank) happens. Too many layers of people to talk to when you call.

Atendedores muy amables y con paciencia a los hispano hablantes. El vehículo impecable. Hicimos cambio para devolución al aeropuerto y no hubo problemas...ojo con lo que cotizan y pagan por Internet que finalmente terminas pagando más caro en la oficina en seguros...pero con bastantes opciones.

This Avis was wonderful. They upgraded me and they got me in and out and I was able to hit the road within 10min of giving my credit card and drivers license. I rented with them because TURO wanted $75 to rent a car, plus $75 for the app fee, and forced an insurance policy. Here the rental was $69 plus tax, unlimited miles, and they had an overnight key drop.

"I rented a car for the first time with AVIS, never again! Terrible experience! The car came with dents, the air conditioning didn't work, there were cockroaches crawling inside, and there was marijuana in the car along with various other messes! I went back to the agency to try to exchange the car, but they simply refused to do so! I don't recommend this shameful company that doesn't respect its customers! Don't rent with AVIS, go to ALAMO instead!"

First, The car has many scratches and dents. We picked it up from the airport when we landed at 9/10p, drove to the hotel and the next morning 9a while trying to take our kids to the theme park we paid for, the car would not start, they sent a service to jump it but it would not work, we managed to get it started after 2 hours and got ourselves to the nearest Avis where we were almost turned away until insisted because we want to get our kids to the park. The attendant was ultimately helpful but extremely slow and nonchalant while I was under stress because time and money has been wasted. We also got a smaller car with no discount. I’m very unhappy with Avis.
