Yesterday we received the best Christmas gift ever. A sweet kitty named Brandon. His adoption was completely easy and free due to your generosity. My heart is full for such a loving kitty. He's already a member of the family. I hope that whoever brought him in will know that all his days will be filled with love and family.

Thank you so much AHS! Yesterday I adopted a beautiful Calico mix cat during their Black Friday free adoption! She’s is super sweet and I’m truly in love with her already. This was my first time adopting from a shelter and I have to say my experience was nothing short of wonderful! I decided to keep her beautiful name Calypso. Thank you to the extremely helpful staff and volunteers. Your help with picking out my cat has been life changing for me!

We got 2 beautiful tortoiseshells unfortunately they neutered them at 3 months and one of the cats incisions on the blatter ripped opened the day we got them called them sent a email of the cut and it took them 2 days to respond. The poor baby’s INTESTINES starting falling out had to take him to a over night vet to get him fixed back and when they finally called back they just hung up after I told them what happened. wondering people at the front but horrible doctors.

We went to the Atlanta Humane Society 2 weeks ago and we adopted a beautiful young male cat and his name now is Jynx. When we picked him up his name was Jason Voorhees. Absolutely adorable!. He had all his shots including rabies. He was dewormed, no fleas and he was fixed. We love him so much and he's been a wonderful addition to our family with two other cats, Feng and Lermont. They were very helpful and the kindest people we really appreciated them. We also got a free first visit at the VCA by us which is amazing and all the paperwork we needed for the chip. Also two tags, one for the chip and one for the rabies vaccine. So we are all set to go. We just had to keep little Jynx separate from his brother's for 9 days until he healed from his surgery.
Thank you so much to The Atlanta Humane Society!!!!

Disappointed in how they are currently doing the adoption. I recently loss my boy dog and was looking for my girl a companion. I came across Jolly and immediately fell in love. I made contact with AHS and was told that she had been in their care since April. That's 5 months. So I filled out the paperwork only for them to reply back and tell me she had all these applicants and couldn't process my application at the time. 2 days later I received a text saying that she was available asking if I was still interested. I replied and before I knew it I had an appointment for a meet and greet. I was excited but my girl was hesitant. Understandable she just lost her partner in crime of 8 years. But she wasn't aggressive, just not really interested. Foster parent suggested a 2nd visit but in 2 weeks as they had plans for fall break. Unfortunately, it seems like AHS is in more of a rush to get the pets out instead of making sure they go to the right home. Even thought I mention to them the situation, they already set up for the dog to meet with another family. Like, seriously! I hope for the dogs sake that she finds the right home because AHS is just trying to put the dogs off on anyone but them. SMH

I adopted my sweet baby Rigby at a free cat adoption Friday in May 2022. He has been the greatest addition to my family and we cannot imagine our life without him!

This is the best Humane Society I’ve ever been to. We’re so lucky that Arthur Blank has contributed so much to this community. It’s new, clean, the staff is great, you really feel like the dogs are well taken care of while they’re waiting for their forever homes. I’ve adopted two dogs from there and the experience has been wonderful every time.
